Teach 7 courses per academic year; develop curricula; provide academic advisement to current and prospective students; undertake scholarship in area of expertise; serve on university and department committees; and provide services to communities/agencies within the region.

Job Description

The Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for one 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Department of Social Work has both BSW and MSW degree programs. Specific programs include advanced standing, part-time and night/evening, and off-campus sites.

Expectations: The successful candidate may teach mainly in the BSW program but may have opportunities to teach MSW courses (teaching responsibility include field seminar and external supervision). He/she will provide academic advisement, develop curriculum including on-line courses, and/or teach some courses at off-campus sites and/or online. He/she will be required to participate in university and departmental committees and provide community services.
