The candidate must have a doctoral degree in Marketing or a Marketing-focused doctoral degree in Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution. ABD status of applicant may be considered, but applicant must have earned degree when employment commences.

Job Description

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s School of Business invites candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor to teach undergraduate and MBA classes in Marketing, including such courses as Marketing Strategy, Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Retail Management, Personal Selling and Sales Management, Marketing Research, and/or International Marketing. Start date for the position is August 2017. Appointment at the assistant or associate professor level is anticipated. The standard teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Course assignments may be during the daytime or evenings, and may include off-campus locations and online delivery. The School of Business is accredited by the Association for Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The candidate must publish in peer reviewed journals necessary to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status, and for tenure and promotion consideration. Service to the University/School/Department and the community is valued and required. Hence, performance will be assessed in terms of teaching, research, and service quality and/or productivity.
